One of my biggest fears was that after the last payment, I’d never hear from the contractor again. But that didn’t happen.

Hello, my name is Larry, and this is my family home. I grew up here. My mom worked incredibly hard to pass it down to me, and I felt a deep responsibility to renovate it properly. Eli was recommended by a friend who had worked with him on his own home. When I first met Eli, he walked in and, within two minutes, had a vision for the space. He talked about expanding the layout and opening things up. His ideas inspired me. At the time, I thought I would go slowly, one room at a time, but I quickly realized that something bigger needed to happen. When Eli gave me a quote, I expected a much higher number. He told me he wasn’t the cheapest contractor, but he takes pride in his work. I found his pricing to be very fair and competitive, so I moved forward. I could not be happier with the results. Today, it feels like I’m on vacation in my own home. On demolition day, I came by just to check in. Wilder and Gio were clearing out the house, which had fallen into disrepair and was full of old belongings. In the middle of it all, they found keepsakes like family photos, letters, and jewelry. They carefully set them aside for me. That act of kindness meant a lot. It spoke volumes about their character and the integrity of the entire team. Working with Eli, Donna, Maria, and every subcontractor has been a pleasure. Everyone was respectful, professional, and committed to the work. Going into the project, I didn’t have a clear design vision. I just knew I wanted the house to be better. Donna helped guide me through all the design decisions. Whether it was kitchen layouts, bathroom fixtures, or materials for the ADU, she was patient and supportive every step of the way. I am not great at making decisions. Even choosing something off a restaurant menu can be difficult for me. But Donna walked me through everything and made it feel manageable. That made all the difference. Of course, as the walls came down, we uncovered unexpected issues. We had hoped to keep the exterior stucco, but it had to be removed. I was concerned about the extra cost, but Eli gave me a quote that was more than reasonable. I even did some research and confirmed that he was offering a fair deal. There were other moments too. For instance, in the patio area, additional work was needed. I hesitated to take it on, but Eli did it anyway, because he wanted everything done the right way. Throughout the process, I felt like he treated the home as if it were his own. He wouldn’t attach the name Quality First Builders to anything he wasn’t proud of. Now that the project is complete, the quality is obvious. It’s exactly what I had hoped for, and more. Even after the work was finished, Eli stayed available. One of my biggest fears was that after the last payment, I’d never hear from the contractor again. But that didn’t happen. I noticed one light wasn’t working, so I called him. He picked up right away and explained that I just needed to press a reset button. That kind of continued support means a lot. If any of my friends or family need a contractor, I would recommend Eli without hesitation. I’m grateful for the care, the quality, and the integrity that went into this home.
